U.S. Postal Service (USPS) 1583 Form

A USPS Postal Service 1583 form is used when you wish to have a virtual mailbox service. The Virtual Mailbox service will be authorized by you to receive and open your mail on your behalf. To meet the postal service regulations, you will need to get the form notarized.

To make sure that no one is stealing your mail, you will need to completely fill out the PS1583 form and have it notarized before sending the form to your Virtual Mailbox service. The quickest way to do this will be to use an online notary public. The notary seal proves that you are who you are! Online notaries will ensure that your ID has been validated though a knowledge-based authentication process and/or a credential analysis which includes a Biometric ID check.

Before scheduling an appointment, the PS1583 will need to be filled out. It is best that you take your time. It is important that you follow the instructions you received from your virtual mail provider. If you have questions, reach out to ensure that everything is correctly filled out. Do not sign document, you can esign it with one of our Virginia remote notary publics.
